I've been making recycled paper and stationary and now I want to bind my favorites. I know my other hobbies are also not cheap but it would be nice if I get to do almost everything handmade🌸

Does anyone have recommendations for a budget-friendly book binding kit? I was at a crafts fair recently and I was surprised to see the price tag 🥲 I'm scared that if I buy online, the quality is not the best even though it will be cheaper. Probably I also just need the basics 'coz I'm a newbie.

You actually can find the basic tools to bind a book around the house, or from a local hardware/craft store for cheap price. I like to use old hardcover books no one will miss at a thrift store or something for my project, buying a new one is out of budget

this is true, I didn't buy a fancy kit when I was new. My friend gave me these old books, whose covers I can use. I already got some fabrics that I can use as bookcloth. I just bought an appropriate glue for the binding
