Wohlenberg book binder issue

I work at a print shop and we got a Wohlenberg binder constantly showing "Stop Signal is too Long" right on startup. It also says one of the stop actuators might be defective. I don't know what to do since I haven't dealt with this kind of issue just yet. How to isolate the part that's been messing up? TIA.

I remember having a similar hiccup with a cutter once. It turned out that one of the stop actuators was getting stuck and slowing things down. To start troubleshooting, I'd check all the connections and give each actuator a good press to see if any of them are dragging their feet. If your binder has diagnostics, that could be a big help in pinpointing the culprit. By the way, does it always hang in the same spot, or does it feel more like a game of roulette on startup?

this message usually means that the machine thinks an emergency stop button is pushed in or a safety gate is open. try to start by going around the entire machine and checking every single red emergency stop button.
Give each one a twist to pop it back out, even if it looks like it's already reset. Also, make sure all the safety guards and doors are fully closed and latched
