I'm learning how to bookbinding now because I want to turn my softcover books into hardcovers. I'm still deciding about the book binding glue, confused by so many options out there, I even read we can use starch paste. I'm deciding that I'm either using PVA or EVA, please give me suggestions on which one is more effective and stronger.

I'm doing some bookbinding too, and I get the confusion. PVA is the standard, cos its strong, flexible, and dries clear. EVA is similar but a bit more heat-resistant and faster drying. If you want durability and flexibility, go with PVA. Just what I think though Anyone else have a preference?

thanks a lot for the suggestion! I've seen a few tutorials on YT to learn how to do it nicely. I can say that I'm better at book binding now, at least I didn't mess it up now haha

I usually PVA, cause it's a better quality for book binding

It's great so many people are trying bookbinding! PVA glue is usually the best because it's strong, bendy, and easy to work with. EVA glue is also good if heat is a factor. Are you fixing up old books or binding new ones? I'm really interested to know what you're binding!
