materials for slip cases

Hi! my daughter has quite a lot of books and id like to make a slip case for her books. anyone knows where I can source some book boards? nothing too expensive i hope. Tnx!

For book board, I've had good luck checking local art supply stores, sometimes they carry chipboard or bookbinding board in the drawing section. If you're looking online, Blick or even Amazon have decent options that won't cost you too much

You might want to check out Amazon,Hollander's,or TALAS for book boards.Framing shops often have mat board scraps as well,which could be inexpensive or even free.Good luck with your slipcase

I actually made a slipcase for some old family albums last year and picked up my book boards from the mat board section of a nearby art supply store, super affordable and they worked really well. I also discovered some leftover scraps at a local framing shop, which helped me save a bit of money. I definitley agree with the recommendation for Blick and Talas if you're looking to shop online. Last fall, I created a custom box set for my niece's collection of fairy tale books, and I ended up finding some good chipboard at a nearby art store. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable the leftover pieces were. It might also be a good idea to look at framing shops before you decide to order anything online
